Is stress, poor sleep, fatigue or lack of mental clarity
individually or among your workers reducing your
performance or your company’s bottom line?

What if there was a simple daily technique used by many
of the world’s most successful individuals to avoid these
problems and effortlessly promote maximum personal
and team results?

There is …and it’s what

Hugh Jackman, Naomi Watts, Jerry Seinfeld, Ellen
DeGeneres, Dr Ross Walker & many of the world’s leading
business people have in common.

They all say that their daily practice of Transcendental
Meditation (TM) is a foundation of their ongoing success.

Transcendental Meditation
is the single most
important factor for the
success I’ve had.

What is the Transcendental
Meditation (TM) Program?

It is world’s most widely practised and scientifically proven meditation technique for developing human consciousness … the source of all our creativity, intelligence and overall brain function.

What Does TM Deliver?

(based on the highest-level scientific research)

Greater creativity

Increased clarity of mind

Reduced stress, anxiety, tension and depression

Better sleep/reduced insomnia

Increased energy and motivation

Improved concentration and focus

Greater self-confidence

A sense of balance and inner calm

Normalised blood pressure

Normalised blood pressure

Improved brain function and memory

Why is TM so Critical for Success in Business & Life Today?

Until now improving business performance has focused on developing specific, isolated levels of our human machinery – trying to ‘get fit’, ‘think positively’ or develop ‘emotional intelligence’.

All these have their effects but like watering the leaves of a tree instead of the roots, it is hard work, time-consuming and ultimately not so productive.

The TM Business Program, through its unique technology of directly developing one’s ‘inner consciousness’, simultaneously develops the source (the root) of all levels of mind-body performance. In one stroke, workers become physically healthier, mentally sharper and emotionally stronger.

How Can You and Your Team
Develop Consciousness for
Higher Performance?

Consciousness can be systematically and consistently developed through the mental technology of ‘transcending’. The Transcendental Meditation Program teaches people how to do this easily and effortlessly.

Deep Rest – The Key to TM Benefits Deep

Change in relaxation metrics during TM practice
The deep rest gained during TM can easily be objectively measured. This graph shows the average results in effect size of no less than 30 studies, performed around the world over 15 years. It shows that during TM practice respiratory rate, a measure of relaxation, goes down far more than during eyes closed rest. Other measures of relaxation, like basal skin conductance and the stress hormone plasma lactate, show similar decreases that indicate a far deeper rest than ordinary relaxation.

What is TM?

a simple, natural effortless mental technique

something anyone can learn

a practice one does sitting comfortably with eyes closed for 20 minutes twice a day

the world’s most widely practiced form of meditation

the world’s most scientifically verified meditation technique (over 370 ‘published’ studies. Hundreds more than any other technique).

What it is Not

a philosophy – it’s purely a mental technique

a religion – thousands of people of all religions practice TM

a lifestyle – TM works regardless of lifestyle

a belief system – TM works just as effectively for those who don’t believe it will

Research

Twice the Reduction of Stress & Anxiety

Stanford University: A meta-analysis of 146 independent studies found that the Transcendental Meditation technique is twice as effective at reducing trait anxiety when compared with concentration, contemplation or other techniques.

Improved Job Satisfaction & Performance

TM has repeatedly demonstrated its ability to enhance both productivity and satisfaction in one’s personal and professional life. For professionals under high stress, the TM technique will prove an invaluable tool for achieving sustained levels of performance.

Optimised Brain Functioning

The prerequisite for peak performance – focus, creativity, broad comprehension, proactivity and planning – occur when the brain is functioning coherently. Several studies have shown that Transcendental Meditation – more than any other technique – enhances the brain’s coherent functioning.

Decreased Anxiety, Insomnia and Alcohol Problems

Workplace stress is regarded as one of the foremost epidemics of our time – hampering productivity and job satisfaction and increasing risk of mental and physical illness.

a philosophy – it’s purely a mental technique

a religion – thousands of people of all religions practice TM

a lifestyle – TM works regardless of lifestyle

a belief system – TM works just as effectively for those who don’t believe it will

TM & Brain Performance – Increased Brainwave Coherence

Brain researchers have found that during practise of the Transcendental Meditation technique, the brain becomes more coherent and integrated, and that this heightened efficiency of brain functioning grows over time through twice-daily practise — even outside of meditation — improving mental performance and overall health.

Higher coherence is associated with more integrated and effective thinking and behaviour including greater intelligence, creativity, learning ability, emotional stability, ethical and moral reasoning, self-confidence and reduced anxiety.

Everything good about the brain depends on its coherent, orderly functioning. Recent studies in neuroscience have found that world-class athletes have higher EEG coherence than controls, and higher-performing CEO’s display greater coherence than other executives.

Researchers have long known that most experiences, whether sensory or cognitive, engage specific, localised areas of the brain. Studies on brain patterns during TM practise indicate that the technique enlivens coherence over a wide area—creating more efficient coordination of brain activity and stimulating the growth of what scientists propose to be “total brain functioning.”

EEG studies showing brainwave coherence during practise of the TM technique along with synchronized alpha power in the frontal cortex have established the EEG signature for “restful alertness” or “pure consciousness,” the inner experience commonly reported by people practicing the TM technique.

How is TM Different from
Other Meditation?

TM is often referred to as the ‘Rolls-Royce’ of meditation techniques, due to its elegant simplicity and the 50 years of research showing how from produces benefits significantly different to any other meditation technique.

In fact, due to its unparalleled scientific proof and worldwide popularity, many other meditation forms try to use the name Transcendental Meditation, suggest their practise is the same or use its research to support what they promote. It is good to note that TM, as taught by Maharishi Mahesh Yogi is distinctly different from all other forms of meditation … most notably in its results.

How is TM Different from
Mindfulness?

Mindfulness is a big buzzword in business today and the quality of mindfulness is highly sought after with many businesses investing heavily in trying to create it. The good news is that the Transcendental Meditation technique effortlessly creates the quality of mindfulness business people are seeking. In fact, with TM it is a completely natural by-product of the process of transcending.
In areas such as anxiety, research shows that TM is twice as effective as mindfulness-based techniques and also has the added benefit of culturing all other areas of mental, physical and emotional development at the same time. The analogy commonly used with TM is that it is like watering the root of a tree. With just a few minutes each day watering the roots (transcending) all the various branches of the tree (areas of our physical and mental development) are simultaneously nourished. Mindfulness in this context can be seen as just one branch of a tree that is simultaneously developed along with enhanced I.Q, creativity, focus, resilience to stress and many other benefits.

Wall Street Journal – 24 February 2014

To Scale a Mountain, First Meditate by the Sea.

The total stressed-out man’s guird to meditation

Transcendental meditation makes a comeback, with
the aim of giving back.

Could this be the key to success on Wall Street?
Hedge fund billionaire Ray Dalio thinks so

To Scale a Mountain, First Meditate by the Sea.

What do Australian Business
People Say About TM?

Jason Gunn – Head of Oliver’s Real Food Australian Franchises

“Transcendental Meditation has been a daily practice for the past 25 years and I encourage all my patients, readers and audience to do the same. Not only are the global health benefits clinically well established but the regular practice induces calm, clear thinking and a general sense of well-being.”

Dr Ross Walker – Ch 9, 2UE & eminent Cardiologist

“As a senior management corporate TM has been invaluable. It is so portable, flexible and the ultimate

1. ‘Energiser’ – I have no need for V drinks or Red Bulls. When the going gets tough I can keep going.

2. ‘Pacifier’ – under pressure I’m proactive not reactive, even in emotionally charged situations.

3. ‘Rectifier’ – it allows me to creatively problem solve, innovate and think outside the square.”

Cherie A Ross – Director and Founder Sound Impressions Pty Ltd & Creator of the “eTailbag”

“TM is the best investment in myself I’ve ever made. It has changed my life.”

Scott King – CEO Qantas Credit Union

“This is the most important thing I have ever done! During a dark period after the Seoul Olympics I sought help from numerous therapies. When I came to Transcendental Meditation I was overjoyed to get my life back. Daily practice of Transcendental Meditation has enhanced my life in every way.”

Pat Mickan –Former Olympic Basketballer, ABC Sports Commentator and Former Chair of the South Australian Premiers Council for Women

“TM has honestly changed my life. I didn’t realise how my life was running on adrenaline until I started to meditate. When I think of all the money I have spent on corporate performance courses, none of them come close to the value that TM has given me personally and professionally.”

Tara King –Foxtel – Acting Head Of Content and Marketing

“My favourite aspect of TM, the one I am most passionate about is the effect it has on my professional/business life. TM really does give one an unfair advantage. Anxiety and stress dissolve, creativity increases and you start finding solutions to problems you didn’t even know you had. It’s the best thing. I can’t recommend it highly enough.”

Nicholas Cox –Director Enlighten Home Loans

“Like a mother needing to ensure she has oxygen in an aeroplane emergency to take care of her child, Transcendental Meditation helps me prioritise my own needs – meaning I am my best self for family, friends and clients. Otherwise, as a goal focused and task driven person, it is too easy to react to situations rather than respond in the most appropriate way. I highly recommend.”

Maria Newport –Managing Principal – Newport O’Connor Executive Coaching, Leadership & Organisational Development Consulting

Arianna Huffington – Founder & Editor-in-Chief Huffington Post

Ray Dalio – President & CIO of Bridgewater Associates USA

“I have been practicing TM for over 30 years. It certainly helped me consistently raise my performance levels and cope with the stresses and strains of life. I believe it has helped me maintain a steady state of mind – it has given me equanimity no matter what happens.”

After TM I feel recharged and refreshed so I can prioritize and get the things done I need to get done.”

Bob Jones – Founder of the Global Quantitative Equity Group at Goldman Sachs

“I haven’t missed a meditation in 34 years. I meditate, then go about the business of the day. Creativity increases. Intuition increases. The pleasure of life grows and negativity recedes.”

David Lynch – Award Winning International Filmmaker

Who Teaches the TM Program?

The Transcendental Meditation program for businesspeople is taught by certified teachers of the Transcendental Meditation program.
Many of these have extensive personal experience in the corporate area having worked in high level management roles themselves, run their own highly successful businesses or in delivering health and personal success programs to corporate clients over many years. Our teachers are very

familiar and understanding with the corporate environment, the current culture of business clients and the need to deliver programs in a timely and professional manner. Having said this, one of the unique aspects of the Transcendental Meditation program is that the results are completely independent on who teaches it. Based on a systematic procedure and set programs, whoever the teachers are, the results will always be the same.

What is the Cost?

TM is taught in all Australian states on behalf of a registered non-profit educational organisation. While the exact course structure is the same everywhere, exact pricings depend on whether one learns as part of a company (group discounts may apply), individually at an approved centre or in a private, one-on-one basis.
